Types of torsion springs
- Helical Springs
• Typically used to store energy and subsequently release it, to absorb shock, or to maintain a force between contacting surfaces
• Uses: clothespins, ratchets, counterbalance mechanisms, and motor and pump assembly - Torsion Bar

- Double Torsion Springs
